Philadelphia Eagles radio play-by-play voice Merrill Reese chaired the Whitpain Golf Classic, raising thousands of dollars for both the Whitpain Police Association and Stoney Creek Day Camp.
The 2025 event, which was held on June 16 at Blue Bell Country Club, attracted a full field of golfers and even more for dinner after golf. Reese, who is in his 48th consecutive year as the radio voice of the Eagles, noted that he would continue to chair the Whitpain event for as long as the township will have him.

Rescue of the week: Molly, an 8-year-old cocker spaniel

Home At Last Dog Rescue is excited to introduce Molly, an 8-year-old cocker spaniel, as the featured rescue of the week.
Molly came from South Carolina, before she made her way to her current foster home in Blue Bell, through Home at Last Dog Rescue.
Molly is a very sweet dog, who is looking for her forever home. Her previous owner passed away and shortly after, an adult child of the previous owner, kicked Molly in the head, causing significant damage to her eye. As a result, her eye was unable to be saved and was removed. HAL has been working with her through her recovery.
Molly can be a little nervous when meeting new people. She is house-and-crate trained, as well as up to date on all her vaccines. She has done a great job adapting to her visual impairment. A good home for her would ideally be calm and quieter.
If you are interested in adopting Molly, or would like more information, you can reach out to Home At Last Dog Rescue at [email protected] or visit the website at www.homeatlastdogrescue.com.
