🚨 Lower Gwynedd cops sound alarm on car thefts

James Short | Wiss Now
Vehicle thefts are becoming a problem nationwide. Lower Gwynedd police want to make it clear no community is immune. While car break-ins have traditionally been considered a “crime of opportunity,” cops warned sophisticated rings are targeting neighborhoods in the middle of the night due to the potential of high yield with little effort.
LG police provided these suggestions to protect yourself and your valuables:
Remove all personal belongings from the car or keep them out of sight
Park in a well-lit area or near other cars
Always lock your doors and roll all windows up Invest in surveillance cameras such as Ring, Arlo or Blink for your driveway and entry points
Trust your instincts and call police if you hear anything suspicious
📍 Upper Dublin shakes up its wards
Upper Dublin has revised borders for its seven wards, a shift that impacts about 4,000 residents (or about 11% of the township’s population).
The 2020 census results are the reason for the change. The survey registered 26,665 residents in town and wards were redrawn to make sure the division of people in each ward was more equal. Complete maps can be found here.

🐶 Rescue of the Week

James Short | Wiss Now
Meet Ziggy, a six-year-old Boston Terrier available for adoption through Home At Last Dog Rescue. She was rescued from a puppy mill in Lancaster and is currently being fostered in Blue Bell. Ziggy is a happy and loving girl who loves to play and is great with new people. She is crate-trained but could use a little work on her house training. She just had surgery on her knees, so a home with some patience for her recovery would be ideal.
If you are interested in adopting Ziggy or would like more information, you can reach out to Home At Last Dog Rescue at [email protected] or visit the group's website.
