🗣️ Whitpain Condemns Nazi Flag Display
A Whitpain Township resident has reportedly taken down a Nazi Germany flag after significant community outcry.
The Whitpain Board of Supervisors condemned the display before its removal but also said it could not take any legal action to remove it. The First Amendment and Supreme Court precedent protect the resident's right to fly the Nazi flag. There was a unity rally at the Wissahickon Public Library in Ambler this past weekend in response to the flag's display.
🚔 The Latest On Fatal Whitemarsh Hit-And-Run
Whitemarsh Police are still investigating a fatal hit-and-run incident.
A pedestrian was struck by a car -- a 2014 Chevrolet Malibu -- around 3:20 p.m. on Nov. 8 in the area of Stenton Avenue at West Valley Road.
The vehicle suffered significant damage in the incident that rendered it "undrivable," according to authorities. The driver then fled the scene on foot. The pedestrian was then declared dead at the scene by first responders.
Police have declined to confirm media reports the driver stole another car and was later arrested. They have only said there were witnesses to the incident and the investigation is ongoing.
Also in Whitemarsh: Cops arrested a couple for squatting in a vacant property owned by the Montgomery County Transportation Authority.
The Lafayette Hill home was previously used as a chiropractic office. A person hired to winterize the property discovered the squatters during a walk-through. One of the suspect's father previously owned the building.

James Short | Wiss Now
Meet Fyodor, a 12-year-old mixed breed. He is living in a Fort Washington foster home through Home At Last Dog Rescue after being found in Georgia as a stray. Fyodor is easy-going, loves people and gets along well with cats and dogs. He would likely thrive in a calm environment. If you are interested in adopting Fyodor or would like more information, you can reach out to Home At Last Dog Rescue at [email protected] or visit the website.
